If you think salads are dry and boring, this recipe will change your mind!

Dressings are SO INCREDIBLY important if you want a delectable salad.

At least, it’s non-negotiable for me.

 (I use the term dressing, sauce, dip interchangeably)

So, I’m really excited to share with you this dip that I happen to pull off really nicely.

Like seriously… it’s creamy, savoury, no preservatives, no unnecessary colouring or natural/artificial flavourings you find in those ready-made dressing in a bottle.

Well, it’s not everyday that I get to invent something, so I’m going to patent it.

Ha! If only…

:: Super Salad-Chickpeas Dip ::

Creamy, savoury, no preservatives, no unnecessary colouring or natural/artificial flavourings unlike you find in those ready-made dressing in a bottle.
Ingredients
  • Base
  • 2 handful of mixed salad greens
  • ½ cup chickpeas
  • 3 strawberries, washed & halved
  • 5 blackberries
  • 2 tsp chia seeds
  • Pepper to taste
  • Dressing
  • ½ cup chickpeas
  • 1 tbsp miso paste, preferably organic
  • 2 tbsp water
  • Pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. Arrange the mixed greens in a bowl. Top with chickpeas, strawberries, blackberries and chia seeds.
  2. Place all the dressing ingredients in a high speed blender and blend till smooth. Add a splash of water if it becomes too thick.
  3. Place a dollop of dressing in the middle of the bowl. Enjoy!
  4. Any remaining dressing can be stored in the fridge for 3 days.
