We’ve come to Part 3 of – How to Beat Tiredness and Double Your Energy Level

What was the biggest insight you took away last 2 weeks?

I don’t want you to miss any parts because it’s serious stuff and will definitely take you to the next level.

The next strategy to beat tiredness and double your energy is not about food.

It’s about SLEEP.

…You and I will be millionaires! Scratch that, billionaires!

Ok, I’m sure you don’t need to be told again as many research have shown – Lack of sleep slows down your metabolism, accelerates aging process, have greater risk for heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and depression.

More fundamentally, your ENERGY dips tremendously!

Hasn’t there been a time you got really cranky when you didn’t have sufficient sleep?

And if anyone approaches you, you probably do this.

Totally, right? 

We know that sleep should be a priority, but so many of us sacrifice sleep in the name of productivity. And that’s when it starts to get bad.

So, how do we optimise our sleep?

Not just talking about the typical advice of getting 6-8 hours sleep everyday.

It’s about SLEEP QUALITY.

I’ve been using this for a few months and I’m more aware of contributing factors  –  the more deep sleep phase I’m in, the fresher I feel the next morning.

Download the app (it’s free!) and it will give you massive insights of your sleeping patterns. Remember to switch your phone to flight mode.

So, what are you going to do with those irregular, disturbed sleep?

Go Complete Darkness While You Sleep

 

All of us are constantly on our mobiles, do you not agree?

You see, looking at your devices at night can make it harder for you to fall and stay asleep.

So, go drastic and pull all your electronics out of your bedroom.

Because those glaring blue lights coming from your computer, phone screens and electromagnetic field around you?

Those can disrupt your circadian rhythm and reduce melatonin. Even a tiny bit of light, seriously, we’re super sensitive like that!

 I’m guilty of not switching off my laptop or phone in the past, you know, just in case of ‘emergency’ and never really wonder why I woke up like I haven’t gotten any sleep. It really makes sense now…

Here’s another tip – If you have an Iphone, there’s this feature where you can set it to ‘night shift’, thus reducing amount of light entering your eyes at night, although we all know the case of just using less device.

I schedule mine to switch to warmer colour spectrum after 8pm till 7am the next day.

And if you really, really don’t want to switch off entirely, switch it to the airplane mode.

Still looking at your computer way past bedtime? Consider installing f.lux where it automatically dims your screen background at sunset and increases again at sunrise. Again, amazing stuff!
